Auburn University's College of Architecture, Design & Construction is ranked among the nation's best, holding top rankings and a strong and talented network of graduates. Although it was not my original plan, I completed the entire minor during the summer of 2020 while working as a wilderness ranger with the flexibility of remote classes. 

On the first day of class, my professor introduced the semester with the statement "Design is communication." Beginning my study of graphic design with that statement in mind allowed me to look at what graphic/industrial design really is: a creative, communicative and practical application. In many ways, marketing is also creative, communicative and practical. Blending my marketing skills while sharpening my design skills was an experience that made me feel confident in the field I chose to study and gave me confidence in knowing what I could pursue professionally.
